Theodore de BRY is perhaps best known for his depictions of the atrocities of the indigenous peoples of the Americas commited against the Spaniards.
I found equally gruesome etchings of the atrocities the Spaniards commited against the 'Indians'. (Le miroir de la tyrannie espagnole perpétrée aux Indes occidentales).
To balance this out a little bit here is another remarkable etching by Theodor de Bry about alchemy.
